We are a Covid start-up.

Our founder, Lisa Doerr spent a career in publishing and events prior to launching Slouchy.

Being able to relax and retreat is really important as Lisa has a rare autoimmune disorder: Myasthenia Gravis, a muscle fatiguing illness which she has battled all her life.

With many lost days on the sofa needing to recuperate, she started to plan a lounge and sleepwear business that celebrates all things comfortable and practical, but with 3 young children and not enough energy, it was too much risk and got consigned to a box (literally).

So fast forward and kids nearly grown up, Covid hit and the entire event industry collapsed. It gave Lisa the perfect time to dust off all the plans and start a new business. So Slouchy was born!

Based in the beautiful city of Bath, we recognise that in today's world it is important to retreat to a safe place and be warm and cosy. As a family we love nothing better than to relax and get comfy with our cockapoos Barney and Penny.
